Rhythmic gymnastics took place at the [Wembley Arena] on the last few days of the London Olympics. There were again two events for women, an individual and group competition. Russia dominated, as [Yevgeniya Kanayeva] defended her gold medal in the individual event, with her teammate [Darya Dmitriyeva] taking silver, and the Russian women won the group event. Belarus also won two medals, a bronze in individual and silver in the group event, with Italy winning the only other medal, a bronze in group.
