Overview

Rhythmic gymnastics took place at the [Wembley Arena] on the last few days of the London Olympics. There were again two events for women, an individual and group competition. Russia dominated, as Yevgeniya Kanayeva defended her gold medal in the individual event, with her teammate Darya Dmitriyeva taking silver, and the Russian women won the group event. Belarus also won two medals, a bronze in individual and silver in the group event, with Italy winning the only other medal, a bronze in group.
