Summary

Held for the third (and final) time, the Drawings and Water Colors event did not yield a winner this time. A silver and a bronze medal were awarded, though, and 1928 winner Jean Jacoby was given an honorable mention. Silver medallist Romano Dazzi was noted for his drawings, often of animals or people; his father was the noted sculptor Arturo Dazzi. Suzuki's bronze medal is one of only two art medals won by an Asian artist, the other being his compatriot Tsuguharu-Léonard Fujita.
