Format: Each team consisted of six competitors. The team score was derived by adding up the total of the individual scores. In the track & field events, scores past 10 were allowed for the team event. However, in each track & field event, the maximum a team could score was 60 points, or 10 points per competitor. Thus, the maxima were 180 points for the three track & field events, 270 points for the apparatus work, and 450 points overall.
