Biography

Günther Ziegler was German champion in 1952 in the team time trial, and in 1957, after his Olympic appearance, placed second in the sprint at the German professional championships. He competed frequently in six-day races from 1957-63, winning the Six-Days of Essen in 1960, and placing second multiple times in six-days. Ziegler also continued to compete in track championships, winning the German professional sprint title in 1961, and placing second in 1959-60, 1962, and 1964.
