Biography

Aside from his 1980 Olympic extra-lightweight bronze, Aramby Yemizh won the 1979 European extra-lightweight bronze. Yemizh also won the European sambo (a Soviet wrestling style similar to judo) extra-lightweight title in 1974. Domestically Yemizh won the Soviet judo extra-lightweight title in 1978 and the sambo extra-lightweight title in 1974.
