After attending Southern Call, Wally Wolf swam for the Navy Olympics. At the 1952 Final Trials he was the top man in the 200 m freestyle, but surprisingly only swam in the relay heats in Helsinki. He played on the water polo team at the 1956 and 1960 Games, becoming only the second U.S. swimmer/water poloist to have competed in four Olympics. At the 1955 Pan American Games he was on the silver medal winning water polo team. Wolf was later a successful attorney in Los Angeles and, at one time, numbered among his clients Johnny Carson. |
