Biography

Cecelia Wolstenholme had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1930 British Empire Games 200 yards Breaststroke; 1st in the 1931 European Championships 200 metre Breaststroke, 3rd in the 1934 European Championships 4×100 metres Freestyle Relay (with Edna Hughes, Margery Hinton, and the non-Olympian Olive Bartle). In the British Empire Games Wolstenholme represented England.

Her younger sister Beatrice (a non-Olympian) won a bronze medal in the 1934 British Empire Games 4×100 yards freestyle relay for England.
