Biography

At the 1968 Olympics three swimmers – Galina Prozumenshchikova of the USSR, Đurđica Bjedov of Yugoslavia, and Sharon Wichman – shared all six medals in the two breaststroke events. Wichman, who competed for the Club Olympia in Indianapolis, also won two AAU breaststroke titles in the indoor short-course championships, winning the 200y in 1968 and the 100y in 1969.
