Biography

His son Vladimír also played football for the national teams of Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. He was a member of the Czechoslovakian team in the 1990 World Cup. Later he became manager of the Slovakia national football team that qualified for their first World Cup in 2010.

His grandson, also named Vladimír, had spells in England and also represented his native country Slovakia on international level.
