Biography

Alton Welton finished ninth in the 1908 Boston Marathon, which qualified him for the Olympic Team. He led the race thru 16 miles, breaking records at every checkpoint, but hit the wall and had to hold on to finish ninth.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-43:25 (1908).
