Biography

Ola Wærhaug competed at three Olympic Winter Games in biathlon, from 1960-68. He won a bronze medal in the relay in 1968, with a best individual finish of seventh in 1960 at Squaw Valley. Wærhaug won two gold medals at the World Championships, winning the team title in 1965 at Elverum with [Olav Jordet], [Ragnar Tveiten], and Ivar Nordkil. At the 1967 Worlds in Altenberg, Wærhaug won another gold medal in the relay, along with Jordet, [Jon Istad], and Tveiten. He later became a farmer, eventually retiring on his farm in Skedsmo.
