Biography

Ola Wærhaug competed at three Olympic Winter Games in biathlon, from 1960-68. He won a bronze medal in the relay in 1968, with a best individual finish of seventh in 1960 at Squaw Valley. Wærhaug won two gold medals at the World Championships, winning the team title in 1965 at Elverum with Olav Jordet, Ragnar Tveiten, and Ivar Nordkil. At the 1967 Worlds in Altenberg, Wærhaug won another gold medal in the relay, along with Jordet, Jon Istad, and Tveiten. He later became a farmer, eventually retiring on his farm in Skedsmo.
