Biography

Like his twin brother Franz Hermann Wandinger was trained in the family business as a goldsmith. After World War I the brothers separated, Hermann studied sculpturing at the Art Academy in München, while Franz took over the family business. From 1936-42 Hermann headed the State Master School in Hanau. In 1945 his studio in München was completely destroyed in a bombing raid. After his brother's death in 1961, Hermann gave up the goldsmith's art and solely worked as a painter and sculptor.
