Biography

Alberto Velázquez had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1963 Pan American Games 4000 metres pursuit team (with Rubén Etchebarne, Luis Serra, and Juan José Timón), 2nd in the 1955 Pan American Games 4000 metres pursuit team (with Luis Serra and Julio Sobrera), 2nd in the 1955 Pan American Games road race team (with the non-Olympians Luís Chazaro and Américo Benítez), 3rd in the 1955 Pan American Games road race.
