Biography

Aleksandr Uvarov played his entire career from 1948-60 in Dynamo Moskva and won one Soviet title in 1954. Besides his Olympic gold, Uvarov was a World Champion in 1954 and 1956 and won silver at the World Championships in 1955 and 1957. He also won European Championships in 1954-56. After his playing career Uvarov worked as a head coach with Torpedo Podolsk from 1965 to 1966.
