Biography

Having started boxing as a teenager, Raúl Trapero made the Spanish selection in 1981. He competed in several international amateur championships, but was eliminated in the first round of the 1981 Europeans, 1982 Worlds and 1984 Olympics. Trapero attempted a professional career, but quickly ended it, after three losses, in 1987. Later working as a truck driver, Trapero was killed in a road accident.
