Biography

Carlos Tramútolo was a Uruguayan cyclist who won the Rio Platenses Championships from 1943-45. A track sprinter he was a multiple national champion and won the 1946 South American Championship in the sprint. Tramútolo won the Pan American championships in the kilo time trial in 1947 and 1949, winning a bronze medal in the sprint in 1947. His career was ended by a motorcycle accident, after which he became a dental technician.
