Biography

At the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, René Tirard failed to qualify for the semi-final in both the 100 and 200 metres, but won a silver medal with the French 4x100 relay team, beaten only by the United States. His best position at the French Championships was second place in the 1919 100 metres.
