Biography

In September 1964, Terri Stickles was a member of the U.S. team that set a new 400 meter freestyle relay record, but at the Tokyo Olympics the following month she swam only in the individual 400m freestyle, where she completed a medal sweep for the United States by taking the bronze medal behind Ginny Duenkel and Marilyn Ramenofsky. In 1963, Stickles won the 100m freestyle at the Pan-American Games. Swimming for the Santa Clara SC, she won four AAU indoor titles.
