Biography

Elfriede Steurer was Austrian champion in 100 metres (1948 and 1952), 200 metres (1954), 4×100 relay (1943 and 1954), and 80 metres hurdles (1943-1948, 1950, 1953, and 1954). In the 1950 European Championships she was eliminated in the first round of the 80 metres hurdles and in the 1954 European Championships she was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 80 metres hurdles and in the first round of the 4×100 relay (with Trude Wareka, Elfriede Geist, and Friedrike Harasek).

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.1 (1954); 80H – 11.4 (1952).
