Biography

From the National Tumverein in Newark, NJ, Harry Spanjer defeated Joseph Lydon by decision before losing in the 1904 welterweight finals to Al Young, also by decision. In the lightweight division, he defeated, in succession, Ken Jewett (KO-2), Russell van Horn (by decision), and Jack Egan (by decision).
