Biography

Besides his Olympic silver, Sergey Sivko was European champion in 1961 as a bantamweight and Soviet champion in 1960 in flyweight and in 1961 in bantamweight. He also won Soviet flyweight bronze in 1959, Soviet bantamweight silvers in 1962 and 1964 and Soviet featherweight silver in 1966. Since 1975, a memorial tournament in his honor has been held annually in Moscow.
