Biography

Brian Shenton had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1950 British Empire Games 4×110 yards Relay (with Jack Archer, Les Lewis, and Nick Stacey), 2nd in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 220 yards. In the 1950 British Empire Games 100 yards as well as 220 yards Shenton was eliminated in the semi-finals. In the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he finished fourth in the 4×110 yards Relay (with Alan Lillington, Ken Box, and the non-Olympian George Ellis) and was again eliminated in the semi-finals of the 100 yards. In the British Empire (and Commonwealth) Games Shenton competed for England.

Died in a car crash.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.6 (1951); 200 – 21.2 (1956).
