Kurt Seiffert coxed the Stanford crews from 1955 until 1957. After graduation he took a few years off from school and was a cox for the Lake Washington RC. He called cadence for U.S. boats at both the 1956 and 1960 Olympics and in 1956 he coxed his oarsmen, Conn Findlay and Dan Ayrault, to a gold medal. In 1960 he was with the fours with shell that did not reach the finals. After the 1960 Olympics, Seiffert returned to school and earned an M.D. from Michigan in 1964. After 1968 he practiced as a neurologist. |
