Biography

Gerry Schreck graduated from high school in his native Pensacola and then moved to New Orleans, where he joined the Southern YC. He sailed with [Barton Jahncke] as crew under helmsman [George )Bud) Friedrichs] and this Louisiana trio won the North American Dragon class championship in 1965, 1966, and 1967 before taking the Olympic title in 1968. Schreck was in business as a sailmaker.
