Dale Schofield was AAU champion in the 1935 220y hurdles. He also finished second in that event in 1934 and was runner-up in the 1936 AAU 400 hurdles. During World War II he served as a lieutenant in the Navy and was stationed in the Pacific. He later enrolled at USC and earned a Masters in Education.
