Biography

Anselm Schultzberg was a Swedish painter who specialized in Swedish winter landscapes and was considered the “author” of the winter landscape painting. He also produced figurative paintings and still lifes. His paintings later lost consumer interest due to their opulence. Schlutzberg studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm from 1881-86. At the World Exhibition in St. Louis in 1904 (during which the Olympic Games were held) he received a medal for creating the Swedish exhibition.
