Jorge Alberto Salas had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1959 Pan American Games Dragon (with Héctor Calegaris and Jorge Alberto del Río), 1st in the 1963 Pan American Games Dragon (with Rodolfo Rivademar and the non-Olympian Fernando Sanjurjo).
