Paul Rudolf was a member of the Swiss coxed four from the Grasshopper Club Zürich that won the 1920 gold medal. The same crew had already won the European Championship just before the Antwerpen Olympics. Rudolf won three more titles at the European Championships, one in 1921 in the coxed fours and two in the eights (1920, 1921), always rowing alongside his brother [Max].
