Biography

Billy Rosado wrestled at Phoenix College and then Arizona State University. He started combative sports in judo and was National AAU Judo Champion in his age group at age 13. In 1975 Rosado won the AAU Junior title in freestyle, and eventually won four AAU Senior titles, including in 1975-76. Rosado won a gold medal in light-flyweight at the 1979 Pan American Games and a bronze medal at the 1981 World Championships. He was inducted into the Arizona Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1987.
