Biography

A finalist in the AAA 440 y in 1922, Richard Ripley placed third in 1925 and was the winner of the English AAA title that year. At the Northern Championships he won the 40 y title a record seven times (1922-28) and he had the rare distinction of winning his only individual race for Britain.

Personal Best: 400 – 49.8 (1925).
