Armido Rizzetto was Italian amateur champion in the sprint in 1919 and 1920. After the 1920 Olympics, he turned professional, competing as a pro in 1923-24 and 1927-29. In 1923 he was second in the sprint in the Italian professional championship. He later raced six-day events, placing fourth in three major events in 1928-29 – at Marseille, New York, and Montréal.
