Biography

Viktor Pryazhnikov began to play hockey in 1949 in his native Elektrostal, playing with two local clubs, Khimik and Dvorets Kultury imeny Karl Marksa. In 1954 he joined Krylya Sovetov Moskva and played there until he retired in 1965. With Krylya Sovetov, Pryazhnikov won the 1957 Soviet title. Internationally, besides his Olympic bronze medal, Pryazhnikov won a silver (1959) and bronze (1960) at the World Championships and was European Champion in 1959 and 1960.
