Biography

Stanislav Prýl played most of his Czechoslovak career with Tesla Pardubice, playing for them from 1958-61 and 1963-74, with two seasons (1961-63) spent with HC Dukla Jihlava. In 1973 he led Pardubice to the Czech League title. Prýl was a right winger who scored 223 goals in 424 games in his league career. He played a North American style game, as he liked to hit. Internationally he was capped 92 times, scoring 49 international goals. He played at the 1964 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and also played five times at the World Championships – 1963, 1965-67, 1970 – winning silver medals in 1965-66 and bronze medals in 1963 and 1970.
