Biography

Miami’s John Price was the helmsman of Comanche and his crew member was John Reid. At the 1952 Olympics, Price led Comanche to four wins in seven races, but the Italian boat, Merope, never finished worse than second in any race, and a seventh-place finish in the second race relegated Price and Reid to the silver medals.
