Biography

Maritta Politz is the mother of Falk Cierpinski, not an Olympian, but a competitor in the marathon at the 2009 World Championships. Falk is a former triathlete, who won the 2007 Munich Marathon, and together with his father, Waldemar, they are the fastest father-son pair in marathon history.

Personal Best: 800 - 1:59.9 (1973).
