Viktor Platan competed at both the Winter and Summer Olympics in 1948, competing in the demonstration sport of winter pentathlon at St. Moritz, and in modern pentathlon at London. In modern pentathlon he competed at the World Championships from 1949-51, winning an individual silver medal in 1949, and team silvers all three years. Platan was Finnish Champion in the modern pentathlon in 1949, earning a silver in 1951 and a bronze in 1950 at the nationals. He won the title at the 1947 Finnish Armed Forces Championships, after placing second in 1946. |
