Biography

Robert Pecanka played hockey (field) for Austria at the 1952 Olympics, alongside his brother, [Josef Pecanka]. He, Josef, and another brother, Alois, dominated Austrian field hockey for several years. Robert Pecanka also excelled at football (soccer) and played tennis at a national level. He continued to be active late in life, playing in senior tennis tournaments and hiking frequently in the mountains.
