Dick Parke graduated from Cornell in 1916 but spent much of his later life in Europe. He first visited St. Moritz after World War I, in which he served as an infantry officer in France. He then vacationed yearly in St. Moritz and while there in 1928 was selected for the U.S. Olympic bobsled team. He later went on to become president of a ski club and active in various St. Moritz civic groups. |
