Guntis Osis had a short career as a bobsledder. His career highlight was at the 1988 Winter Olympics, where he was part of the bronze medal winning Soviet 4-man bob piloted by Jānis Ķipurs. Osis also won a bronze in the 4-man event at the 1987 Soviet Championships, also winning the 2-man event at the Latvian SSR Championships that year. In 1989 Osis was banned from competition for two years because of doping and he retired from sports. |
