Arnie Oss, Jr.

As the son of a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Arnie Oss was probably destined for athletic greatness, though few could have predicted it to be as a hockey player. Oss was probably the greatest defenseman to ever play for Dartmouth. He played on the great Big Green teams of the late 40s which twice finished second in the NCAA tournament. As a sophomore and senior, he had great years, scoring 39 and 55 points, including 36 goals in his senior year. However, he totalled "only" 98 points for his career because of injuries in his junior year which kept him out most of the year. The 1952 Olympics were his only international appearance.
