Biography

In 1950 German 400 metre runner Walter Nehb published the textbook Athletics Textbook 400m Hurdles. He had already participated in the demonstration group of the German Sports University of Berlin (DHfL) at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. In Los Angeles, he was eliminated in the heats of the 400 metres and came in fourth with the 4x400 metres relay. The same year he was third at the German Championships. Nehb participated in five international matches. He was trained at the DHfL in Berlin as a sports teacher. A bridge in Rastatt has been named for him.
