After winning medals at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics as Paula Myers, Mrs. Myers-Pope won two more Olympic medals in 1960 when she finished as runner-up to the East German, Ingrid Krämer-Engel, in both the springboard and the platform. Paula Myers-Pope was a fine all-round diver, winning 11 AAU titles, and she was a double champion at the 1959 Pan American Games. She graduated from [Southern Cal] in 1957 and later trained at the Sammy Lee Swim Club. She and her husband later ran the Ojai Valley Racquet Club. |
