Biography

Post-impressionistic French painter Pierre Montezin was influenced by Claude Monet. He was very young, just 19-years-old, when he was exposed to art, entering a decoration workshop where he learned decorative murals. He was soon influenced by the theories and techniques of impressionist painting and started an art career, but it took him about 10 years to reach acceptance. During World War I he was mobilized, which interrupted his painting career. Soon after he won several prizes and frequently exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français.
