Runner-up of the World Cup 1930, playing for his native country Argentina and 1934, playing for Italy. Between the two World Cups he has transferred 1931 to Juventus Turin in Italy and has become an Italian citizen. Therewith he is the only football player who has the distinction of playing in two World Cup final matches with two different national teams.
