Biography

Walter Meijer Timmerman Thijssen, a student of civil engineering, was a crewman of the Minerva eight that competed at the 1900 Olympics and placed third. He established his own building company, W.M.T. Thijssen, in Amsterdam, and served on the board of several national committees and organizations related to his trade.
