Biography
Mary Meyers was part of the U.S. three-way tie in the 1968 500 meters. For her, it was probably a bit of a disappointment; in the 1967 World Championships she had won the 500 metre event, and was expected to be a top contender for the gold. Meyers attended the University of Minnesota, from which she graduated in 1969. Personal Bests: 500 – 45.7 (1967); 1000 – 1:39.5 (1968); 1500 – 2:30.4 (1967); 3000 – 5:50.5 (1968). |
