Dick McGlynn

Dick McGlynn played for the Massachusetts high school hockey power, Catholic Memorial, until 1966. He then went to Colgate University where he became one of that school’s greatest hockey players ever. After college he played for the 1971 U.S. National team at the World Championships before making the 1972 Olympic team. Upon his return to the United States, Dick McGlynn was able to play pro hockey with the Chicago Cougars of the fledgling World Hockey Association. He retired after one year to become a coach with the North Shore Red Wings of the North East Junior A Hockey League. McGlynn left hockey and graduated from New England Law School in 1986. He went on to practice law in his hometown of Medford, Massachusetts.
