Third place in the 880y in 1906 was James Lintott’s best performance at the AAA Championships. At the 1908 Olympics he had the misfortune to be drawn in the same heat of the 800 as Mel Sheppard (USA) and, although he finished a close second to the eventual gold medalist, he was eliminated. He later served as President of Ranelagh Harriers (1931-36). Personal Best: 800 – 1:58.4 (1906). |
