Charles Lively was the winner of the AAA triple jump in 1920 and was Midland champion in 1920-21. He also placed third at the AAA Championships in 1923 and his best placing in the long jump was fourth in 1920. He served as a sergeant on the Worcestershire Regiment during the war.
