Biography

Mario Lanzi had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1936 Olympics 800 metres; 2nd in the 1934 European Championships 800 metres, 3rd in the 1938 European Championships 800 metres. At the 1938 European Championships he finished fifth with the 4×400 metres relay team (with Angelo Ferrario, Otello Spampani, and the non-Olympian Gioacchino Dorascenzi).

Personal Bests: 400 – 46.7 (1939); 800 – 1:49.0 (1939).
